Election Information

The Town of Hillsborough is a general law city and was incorporated on May 10, 1910. Hillsborough’s elections are held in November of even-numbered years. The Mayor and Vice-Mayor are elected by the City Council for a maximum of two one-year terms.
NOTICE OF ELECTION: Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election will be held in the Town of Hillsborough on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, for the purpose of filling three City Council seats – full term, four years. Polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on November 4, 2008.
